1970 Gibson ES-175 Vintage Model

1 / 1

Description

Vintage Orange Label\nThis 1967-1968 model has had its nut, frets, and bridge replaced, as confirmed by the dealership from which it was purchased. The pickups and other electronic components are stated to be fully original.\nAlthough not visible in the photos, it comes with a Gibson hard case.\nThe neck has been tuned with 011 gauge flatwound strings, providing a comfortable, low action for easy playability.\n\nThe tone is rich and sweet, resembling the classic sound of vintage instruments. It is entirely different from a 1990s model that I previously owned.\nAlthough it shows normal signs of wear for a nearly 60-year-old instrument, there are no cracks or deep scratches to note.\n\nThis is an exceptional piece that we hope to pass on to a guitarist who appreciates the value of vintage gear. Collector Commentary

The 1967 Gibson ES-175 is a prime example of vintage electric guitars that collectors covet for their rich tonal quality and historical significance. Known for their craftsmanship, these models often command higher prices in the Japanese market due to the optimal storage conditions and authenticity that domestic sales provide. The notable replacement of the nut, frets, and bridge is not uncommon for instruments of this age, yet the retention of original pickups enhances its overall value. With current bids reflecting a strong interest, this vintage piece appeals to both seasoned players and serious collectors alike, particularly given its hard case inclusion, which adds to the completeness of the package.
