1 / 1
Description
Imported bike from the USA, includes title, customs documentation, and transfer papers, allowing for registration with added safety parts.
This bike retains a high level of originality with a beautiful paint job on the original aluminum tank.
The engine has had all gaskets, oil seals, and all ball bearings replaced with new ones.
Compression is solid, and it sparks, so the engine should be able to start, but the spigot and carburetor are in poor condition and will need to be replaced. The carburetor is completely clogged, and the jet needle (main jet holder) is broken.
The sprocket cover is missing.
Viewing the actual bike is possible, but only for serious buyers who have cash ready and a place to store it.
Please refrain from viewing if you need to receive permission from your wife, or if it depends on the sale of your own bike, as that would waste both our times.
Acquiring bikes from America has become increasingly difficult. Consequently, prices have gone up, making it hard to continue selling at lower prices. If the price does not rise significantly, I may cancel the auction close to the end.
There have been numerous questions regarding registration, but complete beginners often struggle to understand even short explanations in the Q&A section. Please see my blog for more information, including my phone number so you can contact me directly.
Questions regarding bidding are welcome, but inquiries about registering bikes bought elsewhere will not be entertained.
Please read my self-introduction before bidding.

Collector Commentary
The 1980 Husqvarna CR250 is a notable piece of vintage motocross history, especially as it was popularized by riders like Malcolm Smith and Steve McQueen, further elevating its collectability among enthusiasts. Original models from this era are increasingly scarce, particularly when imported from the U.S. to Japan, where collectors appreciate the authenticity of these classic bikes. While this specific model shows signs of needing restoration, its high level of originality—the intact aluminum tank and recent engine work—could appeal to those looking to preserve a piece of motocross legacy. Its rarity and potential for restoration make it a compelling prospect in the current market, where prices for similar bikes have continued to rise due to scarcity.
