Collector Commentary
This unique handwritten layout for Episode 13 of *Anne of Green Gables*, presumably by Hayao Miyazaki, represents a rare artifact from one of the most beloved Studio Ghibli productions, which aired in Japan in the early 1980s. The meticulous documentation of animation production is highly prized among collectors, especially given the increasing interest in original manuscripts from iconic directors. While production values are well-regarded, drawings tied to significant figures like Miyazaki heighten collectability; the provenance and condition of this item only add to its allure. At a current bid of ¥2,500,000, this manuscript reflects the escalating demand for authentic memorabilia stemming from Japan’s rich anime heritage, illustrating the intersection of art and animation history that drives this market.
