Biography Miharu Yokota
Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1961. Currently residing in Tokyo. Started studying oil painting independently from elementary school. Graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Kyushu Sangyo University in 1983, where she studied oil painting, Nihonga (traditional Japanese painting), and printmaking. After graduation, worked at an advertising agency and printing company. Became a freelance illustrator in 1992, mainly creating covers, illustrations, and book design for children's books (translated fantasy and non-fiction). Participated as a design advisor or in cover design for Japanese editions of overseas picture books. Since 2009, has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, primarily at galleries and department stores.
