Cel Animation / Sailor Moon / Y170

Collector Commentary

This original cel animation from **Sailor Moon**, a landmark series that helped define the magical girl genre since its debut in 1992, represents a significant piece of anime history. Given the enduring popularity of the franchise and character Sailor Moon, collectors are consistently drawn to authentic cel art, particularly under the limited editions that capture the original artistry of the show. Typically issued in smaller production runs, the rarity of such items, especially in good condition, ensures strong collector demand, with current bids reflecting this trend compared to typical market pricing in Japan. The reputable source of this piece enhances its desirability, as well-preserved cels from the original production era are increasingly sought after in collector circles.
