Cel from Sailor Moon / Y115

Collector Commentary

Original Sailor Moon production cels command serious collector attention due to the series' cultural significance and the finite supply of surviving animation materials from the early 1990s TV run. Hand-painted cels from this era are increasingly rare as they deteriorate or remain trapped in Japanese collections; condition, frame selection, and character prominence are primary value drivers. The inclusion of video reference is standard practice for cel authentication and helps collectors assess paint stability and cel thickness. Early TV series cels appreciate steadily in the domestic Japanese market where provenance and condition documentation matter most.
