Cell Art of Mei from 'My Neighbor Totoro' with Mandarake Guarantee

Collector Commentary

This original cell art of Mei from 'My Neighbor Totoro,' released in 1988 by Studio Ghibli, represents a significant piece of animation history that resonates deeply with fans of Miyazaki's works. Collector demand for such limited edition items continues to rise, particularly given the iconic status of Totoro and Mei's endearing character, with cell art being highly coveted for its nostalgic appeal and authenticity. The inclusion of a Mandarake guarantee adds a layer of credibility, as this seller is known for their strict authenticity standards. Given the rarity of these original cels and the typical market pricing in Japan, this bid reflects the value collectors place on preserving a tangible connection to one of anime's most beloved films.
