This is a 'Current Condition' item, Takamizawa Institute's Komura Sekitai Uchiwa E Yakka woodblock print. The serial number for the '8 prints' and the 'frame' is all "145". There are two types of inscriptions "百四捨五" and "壱百四捨五" which may be confusing. The insert for 'Harusame' is missing (see the 5th image on the right). Please take note of this (sensitive individuals should refrain from bidding). As for imperfections, there is some wear due to aging, such as stains (example: around the upper right corner of the head in the 7th image), which is typical for such an old paper item. The print is considered a 'current condition' item reflecting its age, meaning it may have faded colors—a consideration for those who can understand this (sensitive individuals should refrain from bidding). The case and packaging also show signs of aging, such as scuffs, scratches, stains, and fading. Please understand these conditions (sensitive individuals should refrain from bidding). This item represents a paper condition with inherent characteristics, and being a current condition item, it is offered with the understanding of these conditions. 【Detailed Specifications】 Print size: 25cm x 28cm (approx.) Frame size: 44.3cm x 36.8cm (approx.) 【External Condition】 The item has a generally glossy texture with minimal signs of use but has some wear like stains, dirt, wrinkling, and fading pigments typical of older paper items. Please be aware of imperfections (e.g., wrinkles at the center bottom of 'Yukiusagi' - 9th image). The frame shows scattered wear from aging, with discoloration on the internal insert (1st image) and corrosion on the back mounting hardware (3rd image). As mentioned earlier, please understand and consider the aspects related to individual manufacturing differences and the fact it is an aged paper item presented as is. 【Optical Condition】 No optical components are included. 【Functional Condition】 No functional components are included. Please consider purchasing this item only if you understand it is an aged condition product. Please confirm the quality via the provided photographs. |

Collector Commentary
This limited edition woodblock print by Komura Sekitai from the Takamizawa Institute reflects a significant era in Japanese printmaking, combining artistry with historical context. The noted imperfections due to age, such as staining and fading, are typical for such vintage prints and can significantly influence collectability—items in 'current condition' may appeal to discerning collectors seeking authenticity over pristine condition. As Japan-sourced artwork, this print benefits from superior craftsmanship and preservation standards, which enhance its desirability within the collector community. The current bid indicates a strong market interest, aligning with the rarity and heritage value that such pieces carry among dedicated collectors of traditional Japanese art.
