Collector Commentary
This cel animation featuring Arale-chan from **Dr. Slump**, created by Akira Toriyama and aired in the mid-1980s, represents a significant piece of Japanese pop culture history. Collectors highly covet original cels from this series due to its rarity and the nostalgic value tied to Toriyama's early works, making items like this particularly sought after. The handwritten background adds a unique touch, though the stapled attachment could affect its long-term preservation and premium value. With the current bid at ¥298,000, this piece reflects the strong market for vintage anime art in Japan, where authentic original cels are increasingly difficult to find.
