Collector Commentary

This original cell art from the iconic *Dragon Ball* series, renowned since its debut in 1986, is a significant collectible for enthusiasts of anime production history. Featuring a hand-painted background, this piece highlights the craftsmanship typical of early Japanese animation, where such original artworks were meticulously created for episodes. With slight imperfections reflecting its production materials, collectors appreciate these nuances as a testament to the authenticity and history of the item. Given its current bid price of ¥250,000, this piece aligns well with the market for rare production art, especially concerning *Dragon Ball*, which consistently attracts high demand among collectors for its pivotal role in anime culture.
