Collector Commentary

This hand-painted background art from the iconic *Dragon Ball* franchise is a rare piece of animation history, dating back to its original series, which aired in Japan in the mid-1980s. Such original production materials are increasingly sought after by collectors, particularly due to the character's enduring popularity and the legacy of *Dragon Ball* as a seminal anime series.
