Early 90s A Bathing Ape Snowboard Jacket Green Camo Archive

1 / 1

Description

A BATHING APE snowboarding jacket. Size: L, Color: Green Camo. This is one of the earliest BAPE snowboard jackets released in 1996 by NOWHERE. The early model features a narrower embroidered logo on the front and a black brand tag on the collar along with a quality label. An essential item for new vintage collectors. This color variant differs from the one worn by Takuya Kimura in a 1998 Oronamin C commercial. There are minor signs of wear, but considering it's a 27-year-old archive piece, its condition is remarkable. The drawcord at the neck has come off, but I will include the detached part from image 6. Due to being a vintage personal item, please refrain from bidding if you are seeking a perfect condition piece or if you do not understand pre-owned items.

Collector Commentary

This early A Bathing Ape snowboard jacket from 1996 is a significant piece of streetwear history, reflecting the innovative spirit of NIGO and his brand's roots in Japanese fashion culture. The green camo pattern, paired with the narrower embroidered logo of this era, adds to its rarity and collector appeal, particularly as BAPE continues to command high interest among vintage enthusiasts. Given its good condition for a 27-year-old item, the minor signs of wear are expected, especially for a piece treasured from the peak of the 90s streetwear movement. Pricing at ¥103,000 aligns with market values for authentic early releases, which often appreciate due to their limited editions and the premium placed on the source of such pieces.
