**Biography**
Hiroshi Nagai
Born in 1947 in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture.
After working as a graphic designer, he has been active as an illustrator since 1976. He is known for his illustrations of tropical and clear landscapes on record jackets including Eiichi Ohtaki's 'A LONG VACATION' and 'NIAGARA SONG BOOK', and has worked on many jackets for artists such as Southern All Stars, Yuka Band, and Kiyotaka Sugiyama.
He received a Gold Disc as a special prize from CBS Sony for the album jacket of 'A LONG VACATION'.
His collections include 'A LONG VACATION' (1979, CBS Sony Publishing), 'HALATION' (1981, CBS Sony Publishing), 'NIAGARA SONGBOOK' (1982, Shogakukan), and 'Time goes by…' (2008, Bunka Publishing), among others. Recent publications from Fukkan.com include 'CONTRAST' (2019), 'NITEFLYTE' (2020), and 'FAVORITE' (2021).
He is one of the symbolic visuals of the recent reevaluation of city pop culture.
