Collector Commentary
This original cel from 'Sailor Moon' represents a significant piece of anime history, capturing the iconic character during the series that aired from 1992 to 1997 and became a cornerstone of the magical girl genre. With collectors often seeking out authentic cels for their detailed artistry and nostalgic value, items from this franchise, particularly from early episodes, tend to command high interest and prices given their rarity and cultural impact. The excellent condition of this piece enhances its collectability, as cel preservation plays a crucial role in determining value, especially for high-profile manufacturers like TOEI Animation renowned for their quality control. Prices for such artifacts typically range widely, but this auction's current bid aligns well with market expectations for original animation artworks in top condition within Japan.
