The hour and minute hand of the retrograde mechanism are placed coaxially. It features a Miyota movement with a custom module, allowing the hands to return to zero instantly and includes a second disk in the center along with a date display to the right of the center. To make the watch as slim as possible, the hour and minute hand unit is housed in the lower part of the fan-shaped glass (at the 6 o’clock position). The dial is secured to the movement with screws to align the height of the dial and bezel surfaces. (Quoted from the official website) Refinements in design, materials, and processing methods have been made from the previous Model 6 to enhance operational stability and durability. Exterior changes include beveling around the sides of the hour hand and around the heads of screws on the bezel and dial. The case material has been changed from SUS303 to SUS316L, and the glass has been upgraded from mineral glass to sapphire crystal glass. A brand logo is engraved on the buckle and a specially designed strap has been adopted. Also, while the previous model’s bezel had four of the eight screws fixing the lugs, the new version fixes the lugs using set screws from the back of the case.
