Collector Commentary
The Pokémon Trading Card Game DP Expansion Pack "Shining Darkness," released on July 5, 2007, is notable for introducing several fan-favorite Pokémon and showcasing a unique collection of "Shining" cards, which have historically been sought after by enthusiasts. As an unopened and sealed box, this listing is particularly desirable; unopened products from the era tend to command high prices due to their rarity and the condition integrity factors that influence collector value. The Pokémon franchise, backed by its strong global following and robust collector market in Japan, often sees significant appreciation for original releases, especially those in mint condition. The current bid of ¥2,200,000 reflects the ongoing demand for authentic Japanese products among collectors, highlighting both a deep appreciation for the franchise's legacy and the allure of well-preserved trading cards.
