Collector Commentary
The Pikachu ex SAR card from the MEGA Dream ex High Class Pack, released on November 28, 2025, exemplifies the enduring popularity and collector demand for Pikachu and the broader Pokémon Trading Card Game franchise. As a Special Art Rare (SAR), this card represents a higher tier of collectability due to its limited production and unique illustration style, appealing to both casual fans and serious collectors. Given that Japanese cards are often in superior condition and maintained in optimal environments, the ¥28,000 bid reflects typical market behavior for sought-after cards, positioning it well within the expectations of collectors in Japan. With the Pokémon franchise’s historical significance and the brand's esteemed reputation, this card is likely to capture the interest of both nostalgia-driven and investment-minded collectors.
