Collector Commentary
The Pokémon Jungle 'Old Back' pack, released in March 1997, is a pivotal piece within the early Pokémon Trading Card Game history, celebrated for its nostalgic value and rarity. As the second expansion pack, it introduces beloved Pokémon in Japanese, appealing to both dedicated collectors and new enthusiasts alike. This unopened pack demonstrates the key condition factors that substantially enhance collectability, particularly given the pristine condition and its origin from Japan—often associated with better preservation practices. Recent auction prices, such as the current bid of ¥3,008,885, reflect a significant interest in authentic, early-run collectibles within the market, emphasizing the lasting impact of this franchise.
