Collector Commentary
This rare set of 15 NEC PC Engine Hu-Cards, featuring notable titles like *City Hunter* and *Fortress of Necros*, showcases the beloved legacy of the PC Engine system, which thrived in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Collectors highly regard these original releases for their nostalgic value and significance in the history of retro gaming, particularly in Japan where they reflect the golden age of anime-based games. The condition noted as "good" can significantly influence bid interest, especially among collectors who prioritize the integrity of physical media which was often not well-preserved. With an asking price of ¥50,000, this set aligns with the typical market range for similar vintage Hu-Cards, although rare titles can sometimes command higher prices, reflecting their desirability and the ongoing appeal of the franchise.
