Shigeru Mizuki Complete Manga Collection Non-Sale Special Volume (Set of 5)

Collector Commentary

Shigeru Mizuki's complete collections command serious collector attention due to their scarcity in the secondary market, especially non-sale special editions (非売品) which were distributed through limited institutional or promotional channels rather than standard retail. These sets represent Japan's domestic release patterns and are rarely reissued; once depleted, original printings become the only source for completists pursuing Mizuki's entire bibliography. Condition heavily influences value for used sets—the lack of cracks or tears on a multi-volume non-sale edition is significant, as these editions typically saw lighter circulation and deteriorate quickly. Mizuki scholarship and serious manga historians actively seek these official comprehensive collections to ensure textual authenticity and original artwork presentation.
