Collector Commentary
The 2001 Clear Card Set featuring Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah represents a limited edition release from TOHO, reflecting the franchise's longstanding legacy in Japanese pop culture. Given the heightened collector interest around iconic kaiju, these types of sets are highly coveted, especially when in very good condition and sourced directly from Japan, where they were originally released. The inclusion of the bonus King Ghidorah card from Set B adds further appeal, as such rarities demonstrate the intricate connections within the series' expansive lore. The price point of ¥777,000 is reflective of the robust collector demand for authentic, well-preserved memorabilia tied to beloved characters in the Godzilla canon.
