Collector Commentary
The Mega Charizard X ex from the EX Series holds a prominent place within the Pokémon trading card universe, capturing the attention of collectors since its original release alongside the Pokémon X and Y games in 2013. This particular card exemplifies high demand due to its striking artwork and the lasting popularity of Charizard among fans, combined with the rarity characteristic of limited edition prints. The ultra mint condition is especially noteworthy, as preserving cards in pristine state significantly enhances their appeal in the collector market, and obtaining such well-maintained pieces directly from Japan ensures authenticity and access to the earliest runs. Given the current bid of ¥8,600, this card is positioned competitively in the Japanese market, appealing to both seasoned and novice collectors alike.
