Used Figure Godzilla '64 Mothra vs. Godzilla 30cm Resin Cast Kit

Collector Commentary

Shunsuke Niwa resin kits represent the deep collector pursuit of pre-plastic kaiju modeling—these hand-cast pieces from the 1960s-80s era were produced in small domestic batches and rarely reissued, making used examples valuable documentation of early Japanese monster hobby culture. The '64 Godzilla from Mothra vs. Godzilla is iconically important as a suit variant, and Niwa's sculptural interpretation captures that era's aesthetic with anatomical attention typical of high-end garage kits. Used cast resin inevitably shows the production signature of hand-poured work—bubbles and flash are inherent character, not flaws—but this unpainted state preserves the sculptor's dimensional intent. Condition and part completeness are critical to value; a 24-piece assembly with instruction manual and reference photo indicates responsible provenance from a collector who understood the kit's historical weight.
