Collector Commentary
The PS5 Slim CFI-2000A01 represents the second-generation form factor of Sony's current console, featuring the more compact chassis and refined cooling design released in late 2023. The 2TB SSD upgrade is a practical enhancement that addresses the standard model's storage constraints—critical given modern game file sizes—though third-party drives remain common in the collector market and don't typically command premium pricing. Condition is the primary value driver for used console sales; this unit's minimal usage and reported excellent working state position it favorably against typical wear patterns (fan noise, thermal issues, stick drift on controllers). Japanese domestic units often command slight premiums due to perceived quality control and original packaging integrity, particularly when units remain in original boxes or with complete documentation.
