Collector Commentary
X PLUS's Real Master Collection Godzilla 2000 represents a significant entry in the soft vinyl kaiju market, capturing the angular, aggressive design of Toho's Millennium-era suit with notable sculptural fidelity. The 620mm scale places it among X PLUS's premium offerings, bridging display-grade presence with the tactile appeal of PVC/soft vinyl—a material choice favored by Japanese collectors for its superior paint holding and durability compared to cheaper resin alternatives. Godzilla 2000 molds have seen multiple iterations and re-releases across X PLUS's catalog, making documented first-run domestic Japanese editions increasingly valued as production runs tighten. Used examples with honest wear are standard in the secondary market; condition and paint application consistency remain primary value differentiators for this line.
