## Collector note
Marlboro × Zippo lighters represent a niche crossover collectible market where tobacco brand licensing, lighter manufacturing quality, and novelty 3D design converge. Zippo's brass construction and legendary durability make even branded variants appealing to both lighter enthusiasts and brand merchandisers, though production runs for licensed co-branded pieces are typically modest and domestic Japanese stock often commands premiums due to earlier manufacturing QC and original packaging condition. The '3D design' execution on this piece suggests a premium casting variant rather than standard flat-face production, making dimensional fidelity and finish quality meaningful differentiators for serious Zippo collectors. New, unused condition preserves original patina and mechanism function, but brass naturally oxidizes—storage environment significantly impacts long-term appearance value.
