## Collector note
Tom and Jerry Zippo lighters represent a niche crossover between character licensing and functional collectibles, typically produced in limited runs by third-party manufacturers rather than official Zippo collaborations. Brass construction and 3D embossed designs are hallmarks of mid-2000s to 2010s Asian-market character lighters, which command collector interest due to their production scarcity and the difficulty in tracking original manufacturers and print runs. Condition is critical for lighter collectibles—unused examples with intact original finish and functional mechanisms preserve both aesthetic and utility value. Japanese domestic market versions often feature superior QC and unique design variants compared to international releases, making Yahoo Japan sourcing particularly relevant for serious lighter collectors.
