## Collector note
Marlboro-branded Zippos represent a niche convergence of tobacco advertising memorabilia and lighter collectibility, with authentic brass examples from Japan commanding attention due to stricter domestic manufacturing standards and earlier production runs than many overseas variants. The Zippo mechanism itself—windproof, lifetime-guaranteed design—ensures functional longevity that appeals to both users and collectors who value working examples over display pieces. Brass composition and limited-edition status drive value, though condition variance and manufacturing-period imprint differences (noted by the seller) mean two examples can diverge significantly in collector perception, particularly for those pursuing complete serial-number documentation or specific production years.
