## Collector note
The cell painting from "Goodbye Galaxy Express 999," a pivotal film in the Galaxy Express 999 franchise, captures an iconic reunion scene and showcases Maitre’s exceptional craftsmanship. Released in 1981, this limited edition piece is particularly sought after due to the series' enduring popularity and the nostalgic value it holds for fans of classic anime. The excellent condition and the unique cell number B13 enhance its collectability, as these original art pieces are rarely available in the market, especially in Japan, where they are often preserved with care. Given the nuanced collector demand for vintage anime art, this listing reflects appropriate value within current market trends for similar high-quality, rare items.
