## Collector note
The Bandai Fireman soft vinyl figure from the 1970s is a standout piece from a period marked by the rise of vinyl toys in Japan, closely associated with the Tokusatsu genre. This figure's rarity is amplified by the inclusion of its original catalog, making it particularly appealing to collectors keen on preserving complete sets from iconic lines. Bandai's reputation for quality and attention to detail in their figures enhances its desirability, although the condition—especially with the mask removed—can significantly impact its value. As market trends shift towards appreciating vintage collectibles, the current price reflects a growing acknowledgment of this piece’s historical significance and its standing within the broader context of Japanese toy collecting.
