## Collector note
The BE@RBRICK Series 1 Secret Edition, released in 2001 by MEDICOM TOY, remains a significant piece in the realm of designer collectibles, given its limited production and distinctive sculpt style that embodies the playful yet sophisticated aesthetic of the brand. Collectors highly prize this secret variant for its rarity, as it was part of the inaugural series that launched the BE@RBRICK phenomenon, and the early releases are seldom found in brand new condition. MEDICOM's reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to artistic integrity further enhances its desirability among avid collectors in Japan and beyond, where the market values early-run figures significantly. With current bidding around ¥450,000, this piece reflects the robust demand for authentic, well-preserved collectibles representative of Japan's unique toy culture.
