Product Description Born in 1962 in Tokyo. Takashi Murakami is an indispensable artist when discussing contemporary Japanese art alongside Yayoi Kusama.
His works, featuring themes from subculture and otaku, have sparked diverse discussions. His illustrations in the 2020s have significantly contributed to the art world.

This artwork is a print created in 2010, inspired by Dr. Slump's Arale-chan.
The background is silver with strong reflections. The ninth image will show how it appears in real life, so please refer to it.
Many eyes are directed towards those greeting. This could be interpreted as everyday things drawing attention.
Murakami has a film titled "Mememe no Kurage (2013)"; however, this piece was created in 2010, prior to its release.
He mentioned that "Mememe" was born from a misunderstanding in the past of its original meaning.
This theme of "discoveries arising from misunderstandings" has become one of the main subjects in Murakami's work, but for the mushrooms with eyes in this piece, it may be seen not as a greeting but as "something else" waiting to be discovered and observed.

## Collector note
Murakami's 2010 'Ñncha!' represents a pivotal moment in his exploration of anthropomorphic imagery and subversive joy—predating his later 'Mememe no Kurage' film project. Limited to 300 copies with artist hand-signature and foil-printed silver reflective background, this offset print benefits from the technical precision of Japanese domestic production and early-edition provenance. Condition and framing integrity are critical for value retention; this example arrives new in original box, minimizing storage wear that typically affects Murakami prints in the secondary market. Collectors prize his limited-edition prints from the 2010s for their conceptual coherence and rarity compared to his mass-produced merchandise.
