## Collector note
The Survival series (生き残り, Asahi Shimbun Publishing) represents a foundational work in Japanese educational manga, particularly valued by collectors pursuing complete runs of classic serialized manga from the 1970s–80s. A full 91-volume set in unopened/new condition is uncommon in the secondary market, as these long-form series typically fragment through attrition, library discards, and partial collecting. Asahi Shimbun's print runs were substantial but domestic-focused; sealed sets command premiums among institutional buyers and completists who recognize that preservation of original shrink-wrap and binding quality directly impacts long-term collectibility and resale value.
