## Collector note
Original cels from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) command serious collector attention as primary animation artwork from Hayao Miyazaki's directorial debut—a watershed moment in anime production. The 'Valley of the Wind Seven' bonus designation suggests this cel derives from a limited theatrical or premium home-video release bundle, making provenance and distribution context crucial to valuation. Studio Ghibli cels from this era are rarely offered intact; condition, layer count, paint registration, and whether this is a key-frame or in-between directly impact rarity and value. Japanese domestic release cels typically show superior paint quality and registration compared to export versions, and authentication of original studio materials requires careful examination of cel stock, paint chemistry, and production paperwork.
