## Collector note
Chrome Hearts' Letterman Star bomber jackets represent a peak convergence of luxury streetwear and silver-hardware maximalism from the early 2000s Japanese streetwear boom. The cross-ball button detailing and star leather patch are signature Chrome Hearts design elements that defined the brand's aesthetic during its most collectible period; these pieces command premiums in the secondary market due to limited original production runs and the brand's strict gatekeeping of archival pieces. Condition AB status is critical here—leather bomber jackets from this era degrade noticeably with heavy wear, and AB specimens with minimal creasing or hardware tarnish typically outpace lower-grade examples by 30-50% in resale. Early domestic Chrome Hearts pieces sourced from Japan auctions remain preferred by collectors over later reissues due to superior QC and original tag formatting.
