## Collector note
This complete set of 400 volumes of Osamu Tezuka Comics from Kodansha is a significant treasure for serious collectors, encapsulating the evolution of manga through landmark titles like "Astro Boy" and "Phoenix." Released primarily in the late 20th century, these first editions are increasingly rare, particularly in Japan, where authentic, meticulously preserved copies are highly sought after. However, the visible wear on key volumes like 88 and 152 may negatively impact their overall value, though they still represent a crucial piece of Tezuka's legacy and the history of Japanese comics. Given the prominence of Kodansha as a leading publisher, this collection stands as a testament to both the artistry of Tezuka and the rich cultural heritage of manga.
