Born in 1939 in Shaanxi Province, China  
1954: Enrolled in the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts (Majored in Western Drawing and Watercolor)  
1957: Enrolled in the Academy of Arts and Crafts at Peking University (Majored in Decorative Painting)  
1962: Graduated at the top of the class from the Beijing Central Academy of Arts and Crafts  
1962-1980: Served as a professor at Kunming Yunnan Arts Academy teaching Chinese painting, printmaking, drawing, oil painting, and art history  
1979: Commissioned by the Chinese government to create a large mural entitled "The Beautiful Mystical Xishuangbanna" in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.  
Published a collection of drawings, "Xishuangbanna Ink Sketches," with Yunnan People's Publishing House  
1980: Established the "Shenchou" painting association in Yunnan, appointed honorary president  
Moved to the United States  
1983: Won a gold medal at the American painting exhibition (Martin Luther King Exhibition)  
1984: Served as a professor at UCLA, teaching Chinese painting  
1986: Contracted with American SEGAL Company to start producing silk screen prints  
1992: Decision made to construct the "Ting Shaokuang Art Museum" in Shanxi Province, China  
Elected president of the Chinese Artists Association in the United States

**Notes**  
This is an original work by Ting Shaokuang titled "Huntress."  
The large piece measuring 74 cm in width and 101 cm in height features a striking turquoise blue drapery worn by a female figure.  
  
Ting Shaokuang's works often do not depict landscapes, but rather employ multiple lines to portray women with subtly elongated eyes. His color palette is vivid, contributing to a cool ambiance that complements the female expressions.  
The magnificent colors and fluid line work characteristic of his style feature a gradient of captivating ultramarine known as "Ting Blue."  
  
The depiction shows a long-haired woman looking up to the heavens. The background features animals and vehicles reminiscent of ancient murals.  
The edition number "196/275" is inscribed at the bottom left, and the artist's signature appears at the bottom right.  
Although the ball box shows wear, the piece itself is in excellent condition, without significant stains or damages.
