## Collector note
This original hand-painted background from the iconic *Dragon Ball* series is a rare find, particularly valuable to collectors familiar with animation production materials and the craftsmanship involved in such pieces. Produced during the show's initial airings in the late '80s and early '90s, it reflects the high standards characteristic of Japanese cell art—a segment highly sought after due to its limited availability and the popularity of the franchise. While the condition notes mention potential vinyl wrinkles, such imperfections are often expected in production materials, and do not detract significantly from the artwork's historical significance. With prices typically hovering around ¥120,000 to ¥225,000 for quality items in this category, this piece reflects the robust demand for authentic, vintage anime artwork sourced directly from Japan.
