The Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster in Blue is a special model created in collaboration between the globally popular science fiction monster movie series "Godzilla," which celebrates its 70th anniversary since its film release in 1954, and Fender's Stratocaster, also turning 70 years old in 2024.

The design is inspired by the strength and charm of Godzilla, the “King of Monsters,” and incorporates these traits throughout the instrument.

The alder body is topped with myrtlewood, dyed in a deep blue, and finished with a glossy coat to express Godzilla’s heavy presence. The neck features a modern “C” shape with 22 medium jumbo frets, and the Godzilla logo boldly displayed near the 12th fret provides a strong visual impact.

On the sound front, a dedicated emphasis has been placed, with the Tone 2 knob activating a built-in distortion circuit. Additionally, it incorporates a patented G.L.O - Gain-Linked Optics mechanism that changes the brightness of the light according to the amount of distortion. As a result, Godzilla’s dorsal fins, designed on the pickguard, illuminate brighter as distortion increases, visually and audibly embodying the fierce form of Godzilla before it unleashes its atomic breath.

It also features the specially developed “Custom Godzilla Humbucking” pickups, delivering an overwhelming heavy sound. Every detail, including the black hardware, is meticulously crafted, making this a one-of-a-kind instrument.
