## Description
We are offering a vintage 1960 Les Paul Special for auction.

This ultralight model, weighing only 3.14kg, features a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and is truly a genuine and resonating gem rarely seen on the market.

Purchased from Hyper Guitars in Shibuya in 2021 while I was on the hunt for a vintage Les Paul Special. I tried multiple specimens across various stores, even comparing them to older models from the 1950s. This one stood out as the lightest and had the highest originality and resonance, which is why I made the purchase.

Since buying it, it has not been taken out for live performances and has been stored under strict humidity and temperature control in my equipment storage.

Although I intended to keep this guitar for life, unforeseen financial needs have forced me to list it for sale.

In terms of originality, the only modification is the addition of a strap pin at the horn, and everything else is original, including the interior, apart from the hard case. There are no modifications or repair histories.

Condition-wise, it is in excellent shape without any major scratches that would affect playability, and it is in a beautiful condition that rivals Custom Shop models for a vintage instrument.

The string action at the 12th fret is approximately 1.8mm for the 6th string and about 1.5mm for the 1st string, making it very easy to play. The neck is perfectly straight, and there are no dead spots or buzzing even at lower action.

The truss rod has plenty of room for adjustment, and over 80-90% of the frets remain intact, so you can purchase this instrument with confidence, whether for playing or as a collector's item.

According to current market research, Kurosawa Gakki is offering a 1960 left-handed model in TV Yellow for 2,980,000 yen. That model has been refinished and weighs 3.63kg, making this instrument a price advantageous deal in comparison.

Whether you’re looking for a guitar to play for a lifetime or a solid investment sure to appreciate in value, this could be the one for you.

Shipping will be done securely within the same or next day after payment completion.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you for your consideration.

## Collector note
This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Special is a noteworthy find for collectors, given its excellent condition and rarity on the market, especially with the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard that enhances its resonance. The lightweight construction at just 3.14kg adds to its appeal for both players and collectors alike, as vintage models often command high prices, particularly in Japan's discerning market. The instrument’s originality, barring a minor strap pin modification, and its well-preserved state make it a solid investment, aligning it with premium vintage offerings while presenting a competitive pricing advantage compared to other models currently listed. Collectors will appreciate not just the craftsmanship but the opportunity to own a piece with such a rich legacy in rock history.
