## Description
This is a complete set of the Kaibunsha Full-Color Monster Encyclopedia (全色怪獣怪人大百科) and the promotional poster. Volume 1 is the 4th edition published in February 1972, Volume 2 is the 1st edition published in December 1972, and Volume 3 is the 1st edition published in December 1973. This encyclopedia dates back over half a century, and many copies were discarded after use by children back in the day, making it extremely rare to find a complete and intact set. The promotional poster is no longer obtainable as well. Although there are some stains, fading, damage, and tears due to aging, the overall condition is relatively good. I believe it is nearly impossible to find all three volumes together in good condition. Please note that sales are final with no claims or returns allowed.

## Collector note
The Kaibunsha Full-Color Monster Encyclopedia represents a nostalgic focal point within the rich tapestry of Japanese pop culture that includes iconic franchises like Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Godzilla, all of which have shaped the tokusatsu genre since the early 1970s. Given its initial publications between 1972-1973, this complete set is notoriously rare, especially intact, as many copies were subject to wear and tear from children's use. The included promotional poster adds significant value; it showcases the era's distinctive art style and is nearly impossible to find. In its current condition, this set is sought after by collectors who appreciate the historical significance and aesthetic of these pioneering monster series, making the reported price a competitive reflection of Japan’s collector market.
