## Collector note
The Gretsch G6131T-62 Vintage Select series captures 1962 Jet Firebird specifications through modern production, making it a practical choice for players seeking vintage-correct aesthetics and tonal character without 1960s-era fragility or inflated vintage market prices. Gretsch's Vintage Select line maintains strong collector interest due to its meticulous attention to original hardware, filter'tron pickup voicing, and semi-hollow body construction—details that directly impact playability and tone authenticity. This example's remaining fret life and solid electronics are primary value drivers; the bridge-area wear is typical for used instruments and minimal compared to cosmetic loss on lesser examples. Japanese domestic listings of these models often represent careful owner maintenance and represent strong value relative to US retail pricing.
