## Collector note
This original cel from 'Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro,' a beloved film directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released in 1979, represents a significant piece of anime history, capturing the enchanting moment of Clarisse’s wedding. The rarity of cels from this classic film, particularly in good condition without waviness, contributes to strong collector demand, as fans of the franchise often seek authentic, early-run memorabilia. Given the hand-drawn background that does not perfectly match the cel, it adds to the unique charm of the piece, reflecting the artistic processes of the time. The current bid of ¥229,800 aligns well with market expectations for vintage animation art from Japan, which typically showcases superior preservation and provenance.
