## Collector note
The Mega Gengar ex SAR from the 2025 MEGA High-Class Pack is a standout in the Pokémon Trading Card Game landscape, released after the increasing popularity of mega evolutions in the franchise. As a Special Art Rare, its unique artwork and PSA10 grade significantly enhance its appeal among collectors, particularly given Gengar’s status as an iconic ghost-type Pokémon. Cards from limited releases, especially with pristine grading, often command high prices in the Japanese market, reflecting the meticulous care taken by collectors in Japan, where the condition and authenticity of the items are paramount. The current bid of ¥101,000 indicates robust demand within a niche market known for speculating on future value and rarity, especially for modern releases.
