## Collector note
The Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Switch OLED is a region-locked Japanese domestic release with distinctive box art and dock design that diverges from Western variants—critical for collectors prioritizing authentic JP packaging and early manufacturing QC. Sealed Japanese units command premiums over opened examples due to potential inner-box variations and manufacturing-run differences typical of Nintendo's first-year OLED production (2021–2022). Condition preservation is paramount for Switch hardware; unopened status with perfect box condition directly affects long-term appreciation, as most sealed units eventually sell or open. Secondary market pricing for Japanese limited SKUs typically stabilizes or declines post-launch unless scarcity tightens unexpectedly.
