## Collector note
This PSA 10 Natsume's Gengar from the Gym Challenge series, released in June 1999, represents a quintessential piece of Pokémon's golden era, illustrating the franchise's initial foray into darker-themed Pokémon cards. Gengar's enduring popularity, particularly within the collector community, is fueled by its unique status as both a fan-favorite character and a formidable Dark-type. The card's exceptional condition and rarity are significant factors for collectors, particularly given the meticulous care often afforded to vintage items in Japan, which typically results in superior preservation. Collectors of Japanese Pokémon cards often focus on early-run prints like this one for their authenticity and historical value, making this item especially desirable in the current market.
