## Collector note
This lot of over 1000 Pokémon cards from the Old Back Series represents an important piece of trading card history, particularly from the early days of the Pokémon franchise, which began in the late 1990s. Featuring more than 200 holographic cards, collectors seek these for their nostalgic value and rarity, especially given the condition variations that can significantly affect their market value. Old Back cards are also favored for their vintage appeal and solid provenance, as they originate from Japan, ensuring authenticity and preservation standards typically found in domestically-sourced collections. While the presence of minor damage may deter some buyers, the size and content of the collection still position it as a noteworthy investment for serious collectors.
