## Collector note
This set of 18 factory-sealed black Pokémon Trading Card Game playmats from the late 1990s epitomizes the early collectible era of Pokémon, coinciding with the rising popularity of TCGs in Japan. As these playmats were produced during a time of limited releases, their rarity combined with the nostalgic value from the original series drives significant collector demand. The condition, with only minor wear to the outer packaging and all items untouched within, further enhances their appeal to dedicated enthusiasts. Such vintage pieces are becoming increasingly sought after, reflecting a strong collector market for authentic Japanese Pokémon merchandise from this pivotal era.
