## Collector note
Fighter Gordeian represents a crucial transitional piece in Popy's (pre-Bandai consolidation) robot toy lineage, showcasing the engineering that defined early 1980s Japanese mecha collectibles. Popy's proprietary diecast construction and mechanical gimmicks—especially functional rocket punch systems—command collector attention, though post-1982 Bandai reissues diluted scarcity; domestic Japanese examples retain stronger market positions due to superior early QC and original packaging rarity. This loose example with intact mechanics but visible wear (cracked arm joints, sticker degradation) reflects typical condition challenges for 40+ year old pieces, where mechanical function paradoxically outweighs cosmetic preservation in valuation hierarchy.
