## Description

This is the LEMANIA TG195 model supplied to the Swedish Air Force during the 1950s, with a black mirror dial. Brand: LEMANIAYear: 1957Model: Tg195Material: Stainless SteelSize: 38.5mm (length) x 40mm (width)Caliber: 2225Lug Size: 20mmThis LEMANIA Tg195 was first issued in 1954 and supplied to the Swedish military until the mid-1960s. It is a rare early model, distinguished by the G in uppercase. It features a volume three-hand design, a black mirror dial, and an attractive hacking mechanism. The case back is a small size three-crown.This model is specifically for the Swedish military. "Tg" is an abbreviation for "Tid Givare" in Swedish, which translates to "Giving Time" in English. This model includes a push button to reset the second hand to zero due to its hacking function, and is based on the chronograph movement (Cal. 2220). Using a chronograph movement solely for the hacking feature is an example of over-specification typical of military watches. The dial features a black mirror with three-dimensional gold lettering. While it appears visually coherent, the luminous indices are completely missing. The dial retains some mirror finish, but there is noticeable deterioration between the 3 and 4 o'clock markers. The hands do contain luminous material. The case has minor scratches but is in good condition overall without significant chipping. The issued year “54” and the serial number are clearly visible. As a note, I am an amateur and have not opened the case back (purchased from Nakano Jack Road). The hacking function is working fine. It is important to pull the crown by pressing the button first and avoid pulling the crown directly. The strap attachment section uses Paris rods (conventional fit). A custom base-mounted strap from CuriousCurio is included with the watch.
